Dream-Helpers was founded in 2022 with a heartfelt mission to create social opportunities for others in the community.
The founder, Dr. Paula Herron, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a doctorate in Counselor Education and more than 25 years of experience in community mental health. Her Husband is a Navy Veteran and father of a teen with cognitive deficits.
Together, Dr. Herron and her husband, Joshua Herron, began building programs through Dream-Helpers, LLC that allow families to come together, celebrate milestones, and create lasting memories. Over the past three years, they have helped many families celebrate special moments at The Hideaway Event Venue, offering rental space, community events, and toy give-aways.
After seeing so many families make memories there, the Herrons realized that youth with special needs also deserved their own opportunities to gather, have fun, and build friendships in a welcoming space. As they navigated the challenges of raising their own son, they also noticed the limited opportunities for structured social activities and peer connection for this population. From that vision, Draw 4 Club was created.
